The Ustinov "Spirit" in the school
In Germany there are currently seven schools which bear Sir Peter’s name. Children and young people from many different nations are taught at these schools. The teachers and children at these schools both share Sir Peter’s ideas and continue to pass on:
- the spirit of mutual respect
- a positive attitude to the future
- and a personal commitment to those who are weaker
We are seeing considerable interest worldwide from schools which share our aims and ideals and wish to bear Sir Peter’s name. The structure and programmes of these schools are currently inspected by us. We are optimistic that, in future, there will be network of schools worldwide which will keep alive Sir Peter’s legacy.
At the present time, the following schools bear Sir Peter’s name:
Peter Ustinov School in the Charlottenburg district of Berlin
Peter Ustinov School, Eckernförde
Peter Ustinov School in the Ricklingen district of Hanover
Peter Ustinov School, Hude
Peter Ustinov School in the Nippes district of Cologne
Peter Ustinov School, Mönchengladbach
Peter Ustinov Comprehensive School, Monheim
There is also a Peter Ustinov Peace School in Paghman, Afghanistan, which is twinned with the Peter Ustinov Comprehensive School in Monheim.
