24.11.09: Little guests say "thank you" for 400 free tickets!
The foundation established by Sir Peter Ustinov in 1999 celebrated its 10th anniversary this year. Since this time its activities have focussed on supporting children and young people. It was therefore obvious that the Peter Ustinov Foundation should celebrate its own birthday with children.
A total of four hundred children and their parents were invited to the “Inspector Mouse” children’s concert at Philharmonie Essen and on 24 October attended a performance of the “cheese thriller”, a musical story directed by Franz-David Baumann. “It can repeatedly be seen how music and theatre light up children’s eyes. This confirms the value of our work,” concludes Dr. Peter Sicking, head of the “Education, school and upbringing” sponsorship area of the Peter Ustinov Foundation, as he assesses the successful event. The guests – both young and old – were delighted by the event and expressed their thanks to the Peter Ustinov Foundation a very creative artistic form.
“In the name of the children and support staff of the Fürstin Franziska Christine Foundation we would like to express our sincere thanks. Our children do not often have the opportunity to take part in comparable events. All those who attended gave enthusiastic reports of the “cheese thriller”. Two of our children drew pictures to express their thoughts and we are sending these to you as personal thanks from them.” H. Kohaus, graduate social worker and educational head of Fürstin Franziska Christine Foundation.
