[...]The problem of finding a name for our comprehensive school was actually impossible to solve. A characteristic of this form of school is its heterogeneity and this trait was reflected in the different suggestions for names [...].
Then, suddenly, this name - Peter Ustinov – was suggested and many knew that it was exactly this name – the personality, this person – we were looking for. Actually, many of the younger pupils had never heard his name but he had an engaging face, his performance was amusing and his life’s work impressive.
[...] And we feel we owe something to the legacy of the man who gave us our name. We want to honour him for his life’s work – to a certain extent follow in his footsteps – and, in this way, demonstrate what we want to be.
